The Monument Quilt Tour is coming to Baton Rouge this Tuesday, August 12. Meet at North Boulevard Town Square downtown from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a special interactive event welcoming art/activist collective FORCE: Upsetting Rape Culture for an art display of the national Monument Quilt, a public healing space by and for survivors of rape and abuse. A crowd-sourced collection of thousands of stories from survivors of rape and abuse, the Monument Quilt offers a public space and platform to not only tell survivors’ stories but to work together to forever change how Americans respond to rape.
