Baker Branch: Thursday, July 24, 2:30 p.m. It’s the end of summer and we’re going to celebrate it with a mess! Come outside with us and play on the messy side of science with questions like what happens when you put Mentos in Diet Coke or what is elephant toothpaste?

Pride-Chaneyville Branch: Monday, July 28, 11:00 a.m. A Program “Fur” Nature Lovers: Our last program of the summer is a special presentation from the Waddill Outdoor Education Center with examples of fur and hands-on interaction.

Main Library: Wednesday, July 30, 10:00 a.m. Summer reading is over! Celebrate with pizza, snacks, gaming, and crafts!

Jones Creek Regional Branch: Wednesday, July 30, 2:30 p.m. Say farewell to the summer the right way—by playing games on the Wii-U and eating pizza!

Carver Branch: Wednesday, July 30, 3:30 p.m. Snap, Crackle, POP! Come celebrate the end of summer by using science to make a sweet treat. We’ll make our own homemade butter from scratch, blow up marshmallows in the microwave, and then combine them for a delicious edible concoction.

Eden Park Branch: Thursday, July 31, 2:00 p.m. End of Summer Reading Party: It’s the last day for Teen Summer Reading! Have you turned in your reading log yet? Come to the library for one last hurrah! Memorialize your summer by decorating a large puzzle piece, make your very own lava lamp, and enjoy the company while you eat pizza and drink lemonade. Goodbye, summer!

Bluebonnet Branch: Thursday, July 31, 3:00 p.m. French Bulletin Boards: Let’s say goodbye to summer by decorating your own French bulletin board to get yourself ready for school! Registration required.

Greenwell Springs Road Regional Branch: Thursday, July 31, 3:00 p.m. End the summer with a fun book charm jewelry craft day. Have a favorite book or two or three? Then come and make tiny replicas that can be used to create a unique set of jewelry.

Scotlandville Branch: Thursday, July 31, 3:00 p.m. Send the summer reading program out with a party! Eat pizza, shoot Nerf darts at targets, color a picture, and compete against friends for prizes in a series of science-themed challenges.

Central Branch: Thursday, July 31, 3:30 p.m. Mad Scientist End of Summer Party – It’s alive! It’s time for some mad scientist fun at the Central Branch end of summer party! Compete in a mad scientist relay race, perform some wacky experiments, and more!

Delmont Gardens Branch: Thursday, July 31, 3:30 p.m. Pizza Night – Chat & Chew: Let’s end the summer on a low key note! We’ll have a chat and chew session in the Gardens meeting room and talk about the stuff you did this summer, especially the books you read and the programs you came to!

Fairwood Branch: Thursday, July 31, 4:30 p.m. Come enjoy some pizza while viewing a slideshow of pictures from the 2014 Summer Reading programs. And remember, today’s your last chance to turn in your Summer Reading Program book logs!

Zachary Branch: Thursday, August 7, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Kick back one last time with your friends before school starts. We’ll have games, food and plenty of fun. For grades 7 & up. Light refreshments provided.
