The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I love the Hunger Games because it wasn’t slow at any part. It was a wonderful combination of romance and action. I really grew emotionally with the characters. It’s great for those who like romantic adventure books!

Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya
It’s an anime book. A girl loses her mother and lives in a tent. A family finds her. Turns out they family is magical. When they get hugged by an opposite gender, they turn into an animal from the Chinese zodiac.

How to Ruin Your Boyfriend’s Reputation by Simone Elkeles
It’s a good book, because it is about an Israeli girl who goes to Israeli boot camp to see her boyfriend. She is such a girly girl and the sargeants don’t care. Will she cop out?

Tell the World (collection of poems)
This book is wonderful! It’s filled with poetry by immigrants and natives and filled with how they see life in the U.S. They tell us their stories and how it feels to leave all you know and are used to and come to a new and different country. It’s really an inspirational, insightful & wonderful book!

Stolen by Lucy Christopher
I would rate this book a 9/10. The book was well structured. It was a beautiful story about a girl kidnapped by an Australian man who fell in love with her since she was a young girl.
Emily, 13, McKinley High
